Our Origin
Born From a
Personal Journey
SwiftPaw began in 2011 when our founder, Marcus Whitfield, spent six months trying to relocate his German Shepherd from London to Cape Town. The process was fragmented, stressful, and offered zero real-time transparency. He knew there had to be a better way.
What started as a specialist pet courier evolved rapidly. Customers kept asking: "Can you also ship this parcel?" — and today SwiftPaw is a full-service global courier with specialist pet relocation at its core.
We have grown to 400+ staff across 28 offices, processing over 50,000 shipments annually. But the founding principle has never changed: every consignment gets treated like it belongs to family.
